Terms, licence and refunds

Plain language, because you should not need a lawyer to buy a plugin. Last updated 14 September 2026.

What you are buying

A Pro licence key for one or more StoryNova WordPress plugins (StoryNova Staging, StoryNova Client View, StoryNova Cart Recovery, StoryNova Accessibility, StoryNova Cookie Consent, StoryNova Cache). The plugin code is GPLv2. The licence key unlocks Pro features and entitles you to updates and support.

Yearly or one time, and how sites are counted

Every plugin is sold two ways: a yearly licence that renews until you cancel, or a one-time licence that never renews. Both include every update while they are active, and the one-time licence includes them for good.
Lifetime means for as long as the product exists. Every future update is included at no extra cost. If we ever discontinue a plugin, the last version keeps working and keeps its Pro features.
Sites: a licence covers the number of sites you bought it for (2, 10 or unlimited), yours or your clients'. Deactivating a site frees its slot. You may not resell, sublicense or distribute the key itself.

30-day refund

Email hello@storynovaglobal.com within 30 days of purchase and we refund the full amount. No form, no reason required.
On refund the licence key is deactivated and the plugin returns to its free features on every site it was used on.
Refunds are issued once per customer. A second purchase of the same product by the same customer or organisation is final.
Bundle refunds are for the whole bundle; individual plugins in a bundle cannot be refunded separately.
After 30 days we do not refund. It is worth saying plainly: the free version and the trial exist so you can find out before you pay.
The refund leaves us the same day. Your bank or card issuer usually takes another three to ten working days to show it.

Yearly plans

Cancel whenever you like, from the link in your purchase email. Cancelling stops the next charge; the licence keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
A renewal charge is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of it being taken. We would rather return a year you did not mean to buy than keep it.
A one-time licence never renews and never expires. There is nothing to cancel.

What the charge looks like

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who are the merchant of record. Your statement will show Lemon Squeezy or LEMONSQUEEZY.COM rather than StoryNova, and your receipt and any tax or VAT comes from them.
If you do not recognise a charge, email us before contacting your bank. We can find it and refund it the same day, which is faster for you than a dispute.

Support

Email support is included with every Pro licence. We aim to reply within two business days. Pro customers are answered before free users.

Privacy

The plugins run on your server and send nothing to us on their own. Pro licence checks go to our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. If you turn on AI alt text in StoryNova Accessibility Pro, the images you ask about are sent to Anthropic using your own API key. If you use a plugin's "Report an issue" form, your site emails us your message, your email address and, if you leave the box ticked, technical details: plugin version, site address, WordPress and PHP versions, theme, server software, memory limit and active plugins. No page content or visitor data. We use this only to answer you, and you can ask us to delete it at hello@storynovaglobal.com. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment details, taxes and invoices; we never see your card number.

What we do not promise

StoryNova Accessibility finds and fixes common accessibility failures; it does not guarantee legal compliance with the ADA, WCAG, the EAA or any other standard, and nothing on our site is legal advice. StoryNova Staging is built to be reliable, but you are responsible for keeping an off-site copy of your backups. StoryNova Cart Recovery sends email through your site; deliverability depends on your mail setup.
